Junior Certificate
The Curriculum available at St. Fergal's is based on the syllabus of the Department of Education and Science. It provides an excellent range of subjects at all levels in the Junior Certificate. Success in State Examinations is rated highly and its importance is demonstrated in the teaching and learning methodologies practised in the school. Students with above average ability and those with learning difficulties are catered for in respect of their educational needs.
The Core Subjects are:

*Mathematics
*History
*Geography
*Science
*Civic, Social and Political Education (C.S.P.E.)
All the above can be taken at Higher and Ordinary Levels with the exception of Irish, English and Mathematics which can also be taken at Foundation Level and C.S.P.E. which is a common paper.

Business Studies
French
Home Economics
Materials Technology, Wood
Metalwork
Music
Technical Graphics
All the Optional Subjects can be taken at Higher and Ordinary Levels.
