International Students/New Irish

Intercultural education has two key aspects:

Firstly, it is education which respects, celebrates and recognises the normality of diversity in all parts of human life and recognises that the range of different ways of life enriches us all.
Secondly, it is education which promotes equality and human rights and opposes unfair discrimination.

Intercultural education is important for pupils who are growing up in an increasingly diverse Ireland. In order to facilitate the development of intercultural education in St. Fergal's College Mr. Quinn has organised two student committees.

The Amnesty International Committee draws its members from the entire student body and the International Students Representative Committee provides a voice in St. Fergal's for its international students. It communicates with others such as the Student Council.
