St. Fergal's Christmas Shoebox Appeal & Concern Fast

During December 2007, Ms. Paula Bergin and students of St. Fergal's College were busy filling shoeboxes with presents which were delivered to children abroad, whose lives are affected by poverty. This is a very worthwhile project as these may be the only gifts they received for Christmas.

On November 29th 2007 a large number of students and staff took part in the annual Concern Fast. This year their enthusiasm was heightened by the visit during the first term of Concern volunteer Rory Standish who spoke to students about life in the third world and the difference their efforts can make. Mrs. Kearns and her team did great work and raised a huge amount amount of money for this great cause.
