Concern Award for St. Fergal's

Students from St. Fergal’s College were awarded in April 2008 a certificate of outstanding merit by Concern at the annual Concern School’s Appreciation Day, which was held in Blanchardstown Shopping Centre. These certificates are awarded to the 20 schools in the country who have contributed most to the annual Concern fast and this year almost €5,000 was raised by students and staff of St. Fergal’s.
The awards day for winning schools included presentations, spot prizes, a trip to the cinema and a meeting with celebrity Ian Dempsey. Rory Sturdy, Concern Schools Liaison Officer, said students should be very proud of their record and looked forward to meeting with them again next year.
St. Fergal’s College has a great tradition of contributing generously to charity and this year students also raised money for Trocaire and Bothar.
Thanks to Ms. Marie Kearns who organised the Concern fundraiser.
