Early on Wednesday the 27th of November, we set off to Borrisokane Co. Tipperary. Twenty two of us were decked out in our wellies and woolly hats, set out for our trip to Coorevin Farm.
This farm was modified to host Leaving Cert Ag Science students, who would gain knowledge in the management of a farm. This trip would add greatly to out Leaving Cert Ag Science project.
When we reached the farm we tucked into some much appreciated tea and scones. We met farm owner and manager Mr Padraig Moran, who brought us on a walk of his 120 acre farm. While on the tour we met the cream of the crop, his 160 ewes and his 55 suckler cows. During the tour we had to listen attentively as at the end of the day we had to fill out a questionnaire. We learned much about the suckler cow and sheep enterprises.
