As part of the workshops organised by 131 Action Project Committee the LCA class participated in building bat boxes with Oliver Kennedy. A familiar face to the school as a past teacher of woodwork, Oliver was proud to tell students that he taught their grand parents in the very room they worked. Even fifty years on since he first stepped foot inside that room Oliver who on this occassion represented the thriving Men’s Shed group in Rathdowney, never lost his touch. The LCA class were engaged and really enjoyed getting involved in playing their part for bat conservation. A special word of thanks to the Woodwork Department for their support during this workshop.
