2 Leaving Certificate Geography classes left the school for a short trip to the Erkina River down at the Conoboro Bridge on the edge of the town for their Geographical Investigation 2013. The 2 classes were accompanied by their teachers Mr. S. Conroy and Ms. B. McCabe. The objective of their fieldtrips was to investigate evidence of river transport and deposition and the Erkina river was ideal, as a tributary of the Nore, with river features at a mature stage. The 2 groups were blessed with good weather on both days and as there had been a period of heavy rainfall previously had plenty of evidence to enhance their investigation. All returned safety to school after! B. McCabe.
